Green Canyon or Köprülü Canyon rafting?
They share a broad “canyon day trip” label but offer opposite experiences. Köprülü Canyon rafting is active, wet and organised around moving river water. Green Canyon is primarily a relaxed reservoir cruise with scenery.
If your group has mixed fitness levels or simply wants a quiet day, Green Canyon is usually the easier fit. If the point of the day is adrenaline, choose rafting rather than expecting the reservoir cruise to provide it.
Best season and weather
Warm, clear days suit the trip because most of the attraction is the open-air landscape. Summer can be very hot at the coast, while the water-and-mountain setting often feels more comfortable; sun exposure on a boat can still be intense.
Wind, storms or operational decisions can change boat schedules. Keep weather flexibility if this is one of the main excursions of your holiday.

Can you combine it with Manavgat Waterfall?
Some organised itineraries add Manavgat Waterfall, shopping or other stops. That can be efficient if you want a sampler day, but it also makes the schedule busier. Travellers mainly interested in the canyon scenery should favour a programme that gives the reservoir enough time.
Independent visit or organised tour?
A rental car gives you control over the road journey and can work well if you are already exploring Side and Manavgat. The boat component still needs a current operator or departure arrangement. For most visitors without a car, an organised hotel-pickup excursion is simpler.
