Rafting an hour and a half from the coast
The Köprülü Canyon, inside a national park roughly 90 minutes from Antalya, is where most coastal visitors go for white-water rafting — a genuine change of pace from beach days, set in a dramatic limestone gorge with the ruins of ancient Selge above it.
The rafting itself
Practical notes
- Fitness: reasonable fitness helps but this isn't an extreme-sports-only activity — most healthy adults and older teens manage it comfortably.
- What to wear: swimwear under clothes you don't mind getting wet, plus secured footwear (not flip-flops).
- Water temperature: the river is fed by mountain springs and stays cold even in summer — a genuinely refreshing contrast to the coastal heat.
- Booking: almost always sold as a full-day package including transport from Antalya, since the canyon isn't easily reached independently.
