A gentler waterfall stop
Manavgat Waterfall isn't dramatic in the way Düden's cliffside drop is — it's a wide, low cascade on the Manavgat River, more river-rapids-in-a-forest than a plunging fall. What makes it worth the stop is the setting: a shaded riverside park with restaurants built out over the water, and it sits right on the way to or from Side, making it an easy add-on rather than a dedicated trip.
What to do there
The falls themselves
Low, wide and easy to view from several vantage points along the riverbank — a 20–30 minute stop covers it comfortably.
River boat trips
Longer boat trips run up the Manavgat River from near the town, a different (and calmer) experience from the sea-based harbour trips out of Antalya.
Riverside restaurants
Several restaurants sit directly over the water on stilts — a scenic, if touristy, lunch stop.
Manavgat market
If your visit lines up with market day in Manavgat town, it's one of the larger local markets in the region — worth checking the schedule.
Planning your visit
- Time needed: 30–45 minutes for the falls alone; longer with a riverboat trip or lunch.
- Getting there: roughly an hour from central Antalya, and very easy to combine with a Side day trip since it's directly on the route.
- Good to know: this isn't a swim spot in the way Konyaaltı or Lara are — it's a viewing-and-walking stop, not a beach.
Our take: don't build a whole day around Manavgat alone — it's a strong 30-minute add-on to a Side or Aspendos day, not a standalone destination.
