Two waterfalls, not one
"Düden Waterfalls" actually refers to two separate sites, several kilometres apart, both fed by the Düden River. Mixing them up is the single most common planning mistake for this trip.

If your time is tight, the Upper Falls give you the more satisfying up-close experience without needing to book a boat. If you're already planning a harbour boat trip, you'll see the Lower Falls as part of that anyway.
Getting there
Both sites are reachable by dolmuş minibus or taxi from central Antalya; neither is walkable from Kaleiçi. The Upper Falls park has its own car park if you're self-driving, and gets busy with local visitors and picnicking families on weekends. The Lower Falls clifftop viewpoint is a short stop most day-tour itineraries include on the way to or from Lara.
Visiting tips
- Footwear with grip matters at the Upper Falls — the paths behind and around the water get wet and can be slippery.
- Bring a change of clothes or a dry bag if you want to walk behind the curtain — you will get misted, at minimum.
- Weekday mornings are noticeably quieter than weekend afternoons at the Upper Falls.
- The Lower Falls are most dramatic after winter rain, when flow is highest; by late summer the flow can thin out considerably.
