What it is
Antalya Aquarium is one of the largest aquarium complexes in the world by tank volume, and its signature feature is a very long underwater viewing tunnel — among the longest anywhere — that puts sharks and rays directly overhead as you walk through. It's paired with a separate snow/ice-themed attraction on site, making it a genuine half-day-plus destination rather than a quick stop.
What to expect
The tunnel
The main draw — a long acrylic tunnel with sharks, rays and shoals of fish moving overhead and to both sides.
Themed tank zones
Multiple themed galleries covering different marine and freshwater ecosystems, well signed and generally a good pace for kids.
Snow World add-on
A separate snow-and-ice themed attraction on the same site, usually sold as a combined or add-on ticket — a novelty in a hot coastal city.
Time needed
Budget 2–3 hours for the aquarium alone, longer if you're adding the snow attraction.
Planning your visit
- Good for: families, and a solid rainy-day or too-hot-to-be-outside option given rain is rare here.
- Location: in the Konyaaltı area, making it easy to combine with a beach day nearby.
- Tickets: check current pricing and whether the snow attraction is bundled or separate before you go, as packages change.
- Crowds: weekends and school holiday periods are busiest; a weekday morning is the quieter option.
Our take: it's squarely a family attraction rather than a must-do for every visitor — if you're travelling with kids, it earns its place; if not, your time is likely better spent in Kaleiçi or at the ruins.
