What Konyaaltı is
Konyaaltı is Antalya's long pebble beach and promenade, close to the city centre and backed by the Beydağları mountains — arguably the most scenic stretch of coast in the city itself. It's more built around a long beachfront park and promenade than an isolated resort strip.
Who it suits
Travellers who want beach access and mountain views without leaving the city, or who'd rather stay somewhere between full resort isolation and old-town density. It works well for both couples and families who don't mind pebbles over sand.
Getting around from Konyaaltı
Kaleiçi and the city centre are a short taxi, tram or even walkable distance depending on exactly where you're based along the strip. The promenade itself is excellent for walking or cycling along the coast.
Good to know
- It's a pebble beach, not sand — water shoes are genuinely useful.
- The promenade has a long run of beach clubs, cafes and restaurants, making it easy to spend a full day without leaving the area.
- Closer to the centre than Lara, which suits travellers who want to mix beach days with old-town evenings.
