Kaleiçi is Antalya's walled old town — the atmospheric core of the city, packed with restored Ottoman houses, cobbled lanes, boutique hotels and the old harbour. Staying here means trading a beachfront view for genuine old-town character and total walkability.

Couples, independent travellers and anyone prioritising atmosphere and history over having a beach outside their door. It's also the strongest choice for a short city-break-style trip, since everything in the old town is reachable on foot.
Getting around from Kaleiçi
You genuinely don't need transport for the old town itself. Konyaaltı Beach is a short taxi or walk away; Lara Beach and the airport are a straightforward taxi or tram ride. It's the most central base for day trips leaving from the city.
Good to know
- Hotels are mostly small boutique properties in converted Ottoman houses — charming, but check room sizes and stair access if that matters to you.
- No beach directly in Kaleiçi itself; you'll walk, taxi or tram to Konyaaltı or Lara for beach time.
- The old town is genuinely quieter and more atmospheric in the early morning and evening, once day-tour groups thin out.
