What Belek is
Belek, east of Antalya, is Turkey's golf resort hub — large, manicured resort hotels set among pine forest, several championship golf courses, and Land of Legends theme and water park. It has a quieter, more purpose-built resort feel than the city itself.
Who it suits
Golfers, families wanting Land of Legends on their doorstep, and anyone wanting a self-contained resort stay without needing to leave the property much. It's less suited to travellers who want independent restaurants and old-town wandering as a daily activity.
Getting around from Belek
It's roughly 35–45 minutes from central Antalya by taxi or transfer, and most resort hotels are set up for guests who stay largely on-site, with shuttles or transfers to nearby attractions including Land of Legends.
Good to know
- Golf courses here are genuinely high-calibre and a major draw in their own right, including several hosting international tournaments.
- Land of Legends is the standout family attraction; check whether your hotel bundles tickets before booking separately.
- Expect a resort-holiday pace — if you want daily access to the old town, Belek is a less convenient base than Lara or Konyaaltı.
